Weirdo Shrine thumbnail
Weirdo Shrine their sound transports the mind to the mediterranean, warm breezes, desert sands, and lots of hip shaking middle Eastern melodies. A sound that holds a middle ground between the weirdo repetitions of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, the fast forward psychedelic swirl of forgotten heroes Verma, and the lazy city groove of a band like Wooden Shjips... Favorite track: Disorientation / Getting Lost.

about

Gishra L'anani (Aramaic: גשרא לענני; "a bridge to the clouds") is King Isχan's debut album.

Fascinated both by the broken metres and Mideastern scales (from the ancient Maqams to the melodies of the “Eastern” music scene that emerged in Israel in the 80’s), the band reinterpreted their roots blending it with today’s neupsychedelic influences.

The king's followers are, and will always be:
Dor Yadlin – Guitar, vocals
Yuval Manor – Guitar, lutes
Eyal Eitek Lavi – Drums, percussion

This album was recorded and mixed by Assaf Shahar at UR Studios; mastered by Chris at Kluster Sounds.

Music and lyrics by Dor Yadlin; 'Taxim' was composed by Yuval Manor.

The artwork was carved by Yaara Revesz, photographed by Yonatan Cafif, and polished by Aya Zaksenberg.

Special thanks to Gal Cohen, Itay Tzidon, Eyal Mazig, Jonathan Linav, and Yonatan Ydov.
